Let's go bar-hopping through Williamsburg, Brooklyn, so you can get to know these classic dive bars that will put a smile on your face.

Huckleberry Bar- Williamsburg

The Huckleberry has everything that you want in a nice bar, from craft cocktails to seasonally-inspired cuisine.

A neighborhood favorite for eight years, the bar's staff is very passionate about what they do. Most of the friendly servers are as knowledgeable about the ingredients that go into your cocktails as are the bartenders who mix them.

Here you can bring a date and enjoy drinks and dinner under the warm glow of candlelight. During the warm weather, there is a lush garden in the back that provides the perfect setting for an after-work gathering with friends.
On weekends, feel free to dance the night away to the spins and beats by some of Brooklyn's most popular DJs.

Monday through Friday, Happy Hour takes place between 5 and 8 pm. There are a variety of deals to choose from such as $3 off all house cocktails, as well as $2 off select draft beers, well drinks or wines by the glass. That will definitely make your day look brighter.

When you pull up to the bar or sit down at a table, you might want to try the Article 57 cocktail. This potent concoction is a blend of citrus-infused vodka, lemon and ginger juice, simple syrup and a splash of Q tonic.
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn is destined to become a legendary drink in new York mixology circles.  Your glass is filled with a generous pour of Denizen rum, apple-cinnamon syrup, lime juice and pineapple juice. It is so very refreshing.

Menu items that will tempt your appetite are the very cheesy Mac and cheese plate, the Sicilian Tuna melt with capers and white cheddar and the bacon wrapped dates that are stuffed with Gouda cheese. The kitchen has its own version of the classic bar bite, pigs in a blanket.  Their "pigs" are small hot Italian sausages enveloped in a flaky puff pastry.

The Drink - Williamsburg

Call all your mates and get ready to have a whale of a good time at The Drink. It's anchors away at this nautical themed bar which has been a neighborhood mainstay since 2010. Why they even have an old-school anchor as a part of their colorful logo.

A diverse group, indeed, the owners include a musician, a builder, a couple of bartenders, an artists and, who else, but a real-life sailor.
the drink 1
Despite the ships at sea influence, the bars' decor is more eclectic than you would expect.
This warm and welcoming establishment was furnished with materials that were sourced from the various owners' basements and attics. One family member even threw in a few items from a barn. The unusual decorative mix, however, makes for an intriguing visual treat.

There is always something happening at The Drink. They frequently host food pop-ups that showcase the talents of Brooklyn born chefs. Live music is on tap at The Drink, so be sure to check their website as to which performers and bands are appearing.

Their drink list has an incredible array of delicious sips. No matter what kind of libation you are in the mood for; the bar has got you covered. From beer and cider to wine, sherry, brandy and port, just tell the barkeep your pleasure and she will fill your glass.
the drink 3
The bartenders at The Drink, though, are justly famous for their punch. And, this is not your high school dance variety of punch, either. If you'll pardon the pun, it packs a real punch!
Order a shimmering bowl of punch and enjoy it over good conversation and a lot of laughs. There will be more than enough for everyone at the table.

Happy hour offers customers 2 for 1 draft beers, house wine and well spirits. In addition to weekdays (from 5 to 7 PM), The Drink hosts a very nifty happy hour on Saturday and Sunday between one in the afternoon and four PM.

All cocktails are priced at an extremely affordable $10. Daiquiris can be kind of hit or miss at some bars. Not here. At the Drink, the blend ratio of simple syrup, white rum and lime juice is on point.
The barkeeps elevate what is a very basic classic drink, the Tom Collins, into something extraordinary.
the drink 2 two for one happy hour
Skipped out on lunch due to your heavy work schedule. No problem. The kitchen works wonders with locally sourced ingredients.

Their specialty is small, tapas-like plates like the imported Spanish sardine plate with sea salt, lemon and crostini.
Other mouth-watering selections range from pickled eggs and salmon jerky with citrus, honey and ginger to a scrumptious white bean spread. They also do some very tasty cheese and meat platters for two.

Trophy Bar- Williamsburg

Trophy Bar is a hip watering hole that's located in the up and coming neighborhood of South Williamsburg. This is your destination for great times and even better sips and pours.

This uber cool bar attracts a young and hip after work crowd. There's vibrant energy going down here. You can feel it in the air.
When the house Disc Jockey isn't pulling you out onto the dance floor with his pulsating music mix, just pop a quarter into Trophy's vintage jukebox. This music machine has a great line-up of contemporary and old-school hits.
trophy 1 wine
There are zero pretensions here. Trophy is much classier than your average dive bar, yet there is a friendly, down to earth vibe If you're looking for maximum fun with minimum attitude then you've found your happy place.
How can you not love a bar that spins everything from Brazilian beats and classic soul music to 70's disco, all in one night?

Of course, food and drink play a major role when it comes to giving you a night to remember.

Happy Hour shines brightly every night of the week, from 4 to 8 pm. Liquid refreshment ranges from $5 for wine and drafts to a very reasonable $6 for a refreshing Margarita, a glass of mulled wine or a knock your socks off Bloody Mary.

The kitchen has just what you need to accompany your happy hour drink. For only $6 you may choose between a cheeseburger or veggie burger and fries. The happy hour bar menu also features a creamy grilled cheese sandwich with pickles and a side of tomato sauce for dipping.
trophy 2 wine
The Trophy's drink list is second to none. They can compete with any bar in the borough.
Beer drinks include a Michelada, the Shandy and the aptly named Vacation. The signature libation here, though, is the Verdita, which consists of a shot of premium tequila, followed up with a shot of fresh pineapple-jalapeno-cilantro and mint juice.

House cocktails have just the right amount of pizzazz to them. Get your party started with the Snow Leopard, a heady mix of Plymouth gin, St. Germaine, honey syrup, lime juice and an egg white.
When you sip the Valentino, you'll be drinking to the legacy of one of Hollywood's true legends, Rudolph Valentino.  This dashing drink is comprised of  Dorothy Parker gin and Carpano Antica with Gran Classico.

For the most part, even the staff lives in the community.

Recently remodeled, Duck Duck's bar area is the centerpiece of the place, with exposed brick set off by subdued lighting and a counter made from reclaimed wood. The rustic bar is an interesting counterpoint to the vintage Brooklyn industrial look of the rest of the establishment.
