Socarrat Paella Bar - Restaurant, Manhattan East New York. Spain has a culinary wealth of tradition and part of that tradition is eating together around a communal table amongst family, and friends. Wanting to share with you a unique dining experience, we chose the most exquisite and popular dish of Spain; the paella. Paella is the perfect dish from the Spanish kitchen for delighting all plates with a gratifying collective experience.
In 2008, Socarrat Paella Bar was opened in Chelsea. At this hip, stylish, and vibrant restaurant, customers sit at a long communal table, being offered a selection of varied tasting paellas, unique tapas, (another popular delicacy to nosh on with friends) and a superb selection of wines from the area.
“Socarrat” is that delectable, scrumptious crust that forms at the bottom of the paella pan when the liquid is rendered and the rice has reached its peak of succulence. In other words, “socarrat” is the result of a paella cooked to perfection, also that which we proudly consistently live up to.
Our purpose is to serve and delight our guests with the rich expressive Spanish flavors so uniquely prepared in every dish for achieving the “socarrat” experience, all the time. SALUD!
