Sweet Afton - Astoria. It’s very rare to find a pub or bar that has everything you could want, all in one place. But, you will find all that you could desire and then some at Astoria's premier watering hole and gastro pub, Sweet Afton.

At Sweet Afton, their delicious food is locally sourced, the cocktails are crafted with care and they boast having one of the best brunches in the city and sensational Happy Hour specials! There's also live bluegrass, folk and jazz music on tap, every Monday, between the hours of 9-11 PM.

This Irish styled pub is named after a lyrical poem by the celebrated Robert Burns. This lilting poem, which was set to music, describes the Afton waters in Ayrshire, Scotland.

Mr. Burns would have felt right at home in the friendly confines of Sweet Afton. He most certainly would've appreciated the rustic feel of the place, with quaint brick walls and wooden beams lining the ceiling. The poet would also have appreciated the back garden, a quiet place where you can write a poem or simply sip a craft beer.

Specialty beers include Transmitter Brewing 's Farmhouse Ale as well as select brews from the Maine beer company. Draft beers like Bronx Pale Ale and Murphy's Irish stout are also available. Love a nice cocktail ? There are many intriguing possibilities from which to choose. You will adore the Blueberry Muddle, a mix of gin, fresh blueberries, mint, lemon and soda. Right up there is the Upstate, a cocktail that blends bourbon, pear, cinnamon bark and lemon with orange blossom water.

The kitchen's dinner time staples are their creamy Mac n' cheese along with the Pat La Frieda special blend beef burger platter. Brunch is on tap every weekend, from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM. It's a brunch to remember!

Sweet Afton's chef has three standout signature dishes that keep Astoria brunch enthusiasts coming back for more. Foodies can't get enough of the lemon-Ricotta stuffed French toast or the goat cheese baked eggs with roasted kale, tomatoes and thyme. The chorizo and potato hash is a dish that Sweet Afton made famous. This heavenly hash is accompanied by chipolte creme, scallions, pickled jalapeños and a sunny side up egg. This is brunch perfection!
