Best Brunch In Williamsburg - Brooklyn, NY

Williamsburg in Brooklyn has some of the best brunch establishments in which to enjoy brunch and the delightful me-time that comes along with it.

Reynard - Williamsburg

Located on the ground floor of the trendy Wythe Hotel, this upscale but inviting space is always on point.

Reynard opened its' doors in 2012 and it did not take long for Williamsburg locals to fall in love with the decor and food. Not far from the waterfront, which is being redeveloped, the restaurant provides spectacular views of the Manhattan skyline. Reynard is considered to be one of the most romantic date night restaurants in Brooklyn.

The architecture of the establishment is quite unique, to say the least, blending a chic industrial vibe with an open, airy space.

The 70 room hotel, by the way, is housed inside a 116-year-old building that was formerly utilized as a factory.

Executive chef Christina Lecki's menu holds considerable appeal for both old-school brunch fans who love the classics as well as foodies who are hungry for something a little more adventurous.

Chef Lecki is forever working on new creations and makes full use of the various fruits and veggies that change with every season. Her Winter citrus plate, for example, is sweetened with actual bee pollen.

Instead of the somewhat redundant meat and cheese plates that most restaurants have, the chef offers her patrons a scrumptious fish board, which is comprised of gravlax, pickled mackerel, and whitefish salad.

The brunch pancake game has a Borough-wide winner here in Chef Lecki's sourdough flapjacks with sliced apples and real maple syrup. The kitchen also does an excellent Frittata which is dressed with Brussels sprouts and rosemary. The curried kale with duck egg is one of the most original dishes on the menu.

Sausage lovers rejoice! One of chef 's signature dishes is the Moroccan Merguez sausage which comes with poached eggs, smoked feta and black olives.

The bar offers a delectable array of wines and draft beer as well as cocktails that are all you need for your morning ( or afternoon) wake-up call.

In fact, the aptly named Wake Up Call is made with vodka, orgeat and house-made cold brew coffee.A refreshing splash of Aquavit, sherry and orange bitters make the Icelandic Tuxedo a very special elixir, indeed.

Harefield Road - Williamsburg

Famous for their micro-brews and craft ales, as well as a brunch that's guaranteed to put a smile on your face, the folks at Harefield Road have created a comforting environment for your after-work and weekend escape from the everyday.

The owner, Sean O'Rourke knows a thing or two about running a bar that you'll want to return to again and again. Top shelf drinks, quality suds and great food that fills you up without leaving a hole in your pocket are his recipes for success.

Harefield Road may be simple and unpretentious but that's not to say that the place lacks character. There's just a warm, natural feeling here that no amount of expensive, fancy decor can deliver.

All brunch entrees come with coffee or Irish breakfast tea as well as a choice of Mimosa or Bloody Mary.

Whenever regulars invite friends from other parts of the city to join them for brunch at Harefield Road, nine times out of ten, they always recommend the signature Harefield Eggs dish. This power-packed plate piles on the good stuff, sky high, with poached eggs, smoked salmon and Hollandaise sauce on an English muffin, with a very generous side of home fries and fresh fruit.

Spice up your brunch with their authentic huevos rancheros. Even though they are well cooked with just the right amount of crisp on them, the home fries are almost an afterthought on this delectable plate.

It's the way that the eggs blend in with the black beans, pico de gallo, salsa verde, creamy avocado and gooey cheddar cheese that will leave you wanting more.

Not in the market for eggs and all things breakfast? The kitchen's got your back with a juicy eight-ounce all-beef burger, a club sandwich that features lots of bacon and hand-carved turkey and a Cajun, a grilled chicken sandwich that's topped with caramelized onions and provolone cheese.

Cafe Mogador - Williamsburg

Founded in 1983, in the East Village, Cafe Mogador was a culinary trail-blazer, introducing neighborhood residents to Moroccan cuisine. The artists, musicians and bohemians who made the East Village a hub of creativity quickly embraced chef and owner Rivka's inspired and eclectic dishes.

Williamsburg has long been recognized as one of the most diverse and artistic communities in Brooklyn.

Therefore, it is only fitting that, when the founding family wanted to open a second location, a few years back, they didn't have to look any further than the Williamsburg neighborhood.

More than just an interesting culinary destination, Cafe Mogador is a place where people can meet and connect with each other. Rivka wanted her cafe to be a community hub where locals could relax, enjoy themselves, laugh and talk together and exchange ideas.

This tradition has been continued by her family at their Brooklyn location. Brunch is the latter-day version of the early Twentieth century literary and cultural salons and cafes in Paris. It's a time for families and friends to gather and enjoy the moment, as well as talk about pop culture and politics.

Brunch is served with piping hot coffee or tea, as well as a glass of fresh orange juice, squeezed from the real thing not poured out of a container from the supermarket.

You can purchase a special brunch cocktail separately and the prices, ranging from $8 to $11 are quite reasonable, considering the fact that in most other bars and cafes in the area, cocktails run around $14 or higher.

The bar has all of your brunch favorites but the must-try here is their luscious Blood Orange Mimosa.

In the Mediterranean community, small plates are the order of the day when friends gather. A very satisfying meal can be created by ordering a half dozen sides for your group. Pair up plates of their made from scratch spicy sausage, roasted potatoes, stewed tomatoes and yogurt with a toasted baguette or croissant.

The Moroccan Benedict definitely marches to the beat of a different drummer. A Middle Eastern-style spicy sauce of tomatoes blends well with poached eggs, roasted potatoes and field greens.

Cafe Mogador's kitchen offers no less than five versions of the usual eggs Benedict, so, if you're a fan of that all-time brunch fave, then this is the place to be.
