Manhattan's Stunning Rooftop Lounges - NYC

Manhattan's Stunning Rooftop Lounges - NYC

Fun Vibes, Great Food and Drinks and Spectacular Views of the City.

With Summer going full blast, this is the perfect time to make plans with your friends or significant other to do brunch, dinner, or happy hour at one of NYC's amazing rooftop lounges.

Besides the incredible views of the city skyline, these cool lounges give you the best of both worlds in terms of ambiance. You can literally chill out indoors in air-conditioned comfort or enjoy a cold beer or refreshing cocktail out on the terrace as a soothing sunset breeze wafts through your hair.

And, to top things off; some of these establishments even have a swimming pool located right on the premises! No need to ride the subway or take an Uber to Coney Island or Rockaway Beach.

Just make a reservation and look forward to spending some quality time

dipping your toes in temperature-controlled water while indulging in delectable sips and bites.

Looking to find somewhere to hang out that's just a little different from your usual neighborhood bar or restaurant? Well, you've come to the right place, so, let's dive right in!

Terrace on 7 at The Dominick Hotel - Soho

Say a bright and hearty "Aloha!" to your new Summer retreat from the stress and noise of Manhattan.

Located at the trendy Dominick Hotel, Terrace on 7 is home to El Takoy, a truly spectacular indoor-outdoor bar and restaurant as well as a spacious outdoor pool that is just a few steps away.

Get comfy while you lounge on the terrace's plush poolside loungers. There are also snug cabanas to rent if you like. This is a vacation spot to die for without the hassle of catching a flight at Kennedy or LaGuardia.

The vibe throughout is very much Magnum P.I. and Hawaii Five-O. Why any moment you might expect Tom Selleck to appear clad in his trademark colorful Hawaiian shirt.

Aside from the decor, Hawaii's cultural heritage is well-represented by chef Luis Pous who delivers a contemporary take on traditional Asian-Hawaiian cuisine.

Every Month, on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7:30 PM, you can actually partake in a genuine Hawaiian luau. Feast on chef Luis' authentic menu which consists of a succulent roasted pig, salmon lomi tostadas and some divine shrimp lumpias besides many other gastronomical temptations.

To wash it all down there are some creative shaved ice creations and Hawaiian-themed cocktails from the bar.

If you're in the mood for something light but tasty and indulgent, go for the tuna and caviar taquitos with chili mayo and cilantro.

There's also the Maui chopped salad which is packed with crisp lettuce, quinoa, edamame, watermelon, pineapple, tomato and refreshing cucumbers.

The whole thing is topped with a delicious sweet, but not overly so, soy sesame dressing.

Just made for sharing on a romantic evening is the Maui seafood platter. You'll relish each and every bite of tuna poke, jumbo shrimp, luscious crab and lobster.

Be adventurous and order their juicy hot dog. What's adventurous about a hot dog, you ask? Well, this one's topped with shiso leaf, kimchi, agave chipotle sauce, and potato chips all on a Hawaiian bun!

Perched high up on the Renaissance Hotel's rooftop, Somewhere Nowhere is the embodiment of sophisticated fun. This magical lounge is your new happy place. No matter how stressed out your day at work might have been, you'll feel the anxiety just melt away the second that you pass through the graffiti and gnome-decorated entryway.

While you relax at their outdoor pool or grab a cocktail inside, move to the beats of a live DJ. Somewhere Nowhere, by the way, is the first rooftop lounge in NYC to feature KV2 audio speakers, a state-of-the-art sound system.

A secret garden adds colors that pop to the main lounge. Reach for the stars poolside, while you cool off from the urban heat and toast your friends with adult beverages. The panoramic views are unmatched since this is the highest rooftop pool in the entire city.

The bar offers a stunning array of sangrias, from peach rose' and a margarita rose' option to their signature cosmo melon rose' sangria. This is a beverage for the ages with ingredients like Triple Sec, rose' wine, watermelon puree, Grey Goose, simple syrup, fresh lime juice, strawberries, blueberries and a splash of club soda. Told you this elixir was special!

The Beach at Dream Hotel Downtown - Chelsea

Yes, you might be partying at a modern, luxury hotel, but once you hit the gorgeous rooftop, you'll feel as though you really are at the beach.

Aptly named, the Beach at Dream Downtown has everything you're seeking for an idyllic getaway. There's a spectacular glass-bottom swimming pool, a well-appointed pool deck, more than thirty chaise lounges and, look what we have here; an actual " beach" complete with sand. Not to mention private cabanas and a full-service bar. What more could you desire?

There's also a retractable pergola and plenty of lush greenery.

Get your crew together and have a blast! The Beach has several poolside party packages available including Soak Up the Sun. $250 gets you 6 Ramona Spritz's, 2 pitchers of white sangria and a bottle of Palm Rose'.

Their stalwart barkeeps will keep the good times flowing with premium selections of everything from rum, gin and vodka to scotch, cognac and tequila. And, of course, local and imported wine.

The Beach offers a tempting array of specialty cocktails, as well. They are as inventive as they are delicious.

The Green Goddess is a concoction that blends Plymouth gin, kiwi, green apple and lime juice with ginger and chartreuse. It's a different taste but a good one.

Uber refreshing is Missionary's Downfall, made with Bacardi rum, Ron Zacapa rum, pineapple and nectarine juice and a hint of mint for that lively aftertaste.

Looking for an elixir with a bit of a kick to it? You've found it in the Dolly Lava, whose ingredients are Milagro Blanco tequila, peach and lime juice and sriracha agave.

They've got some interesting items on the food menu, too, including a juicy buttermilk fried chicken sandwich and the Beach Burger, which is topped with lots of American cheese, and jerk mayo. The patty comes with a toasted bun and specially seasoned Dream fries. The grilled corn salad is quite good. What makes it special is the divine queso fresco and lime vinaigrette.

Desserts are definitely NOT an afterthought here. The fresh frozen fruit pops are well worth trying as is the molten chocolate cake with strawberry ice cream and creme Anglaise.

Jimmy Rooftop Bar - Soho

Set eighteen stories above the hustle and bustle that is NYC, Jimmy is an oasis of refinement and intimacy. You can have fun here all year around. But, there is, without a shadow of a doubt, something very special about Jimmy when the warm weather is upon us.

A small but welcoming swimming pool sits at the center of a polished deck where one can sip a cocktail while enjoying unparalleled views of Wall Street, the Hudson River and the East River's iconic bridges.

Inside, the distinct decor has been inspired by Picasso's Blue period. There is also a unique "conversation pit" featuring blue and leather velvet modular furniture, sculptural stools and an eclectic mix of tone-on-tone furniture. There is always some well-curated music playing in the background. However, it's not too loud and you can actually have a conversation here.

Jimmy is a great place to impress a date, unwind with your friends from the office or make new pals.

The owners, David Rabin and Johnny Swet have put a ton of hard work into their establishment and it shows.

There are cocktails galore to be had at Jimmy including an enticing strawberry Moscow mule, a Raspberry Fizz made with premium Hendrick's Gin as well as a thirst-quenching grilled pineapple Mojito.

The foundation of the Blackberry and Basil Old Fashioned is locally distilled Hudson NY Bourbon, Creme De Mure, blackberry and orange juice.

You'll want to try the Aperitivo Select Spritz with a generous pour of Prosecco and OJ.

The Grapes of Wrath is centered around Stoli Cucumber Vodka, St. Germain, Rosemary and juicy grapes.

You won't go hungry here, for sure. The menu may be small but it is HUGE on taste. The Piri-Piri Chicken Brochette is cooked in a wood oven which, together with a spicy glaze and sesame seasoning, gives this dish such a wonderful flavor.

Should you order the Hummus plate, do be certain to ask for extra grilled Naan bread. You'll need it to sop up the marvelous mixture of chickpeas, roasted tomato pulp, falafel and dried herbs.
